MetroPosters.com (collectively referred to as the “Site”) is operated by Mike Governale, LLC (collectively referred to as the “Operator” or “We” or “Us”). We provide graphic design services and related products for sale through this site.
What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It
When visitors leave comments on the site, that comment is reviewed and then posted to page on which the comment was submitted. We collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
You should never put information in a comment that you would not want to be made public.
If you submit information through any of our contact forms, that data is sent to us via email. You should never send sensitive information such as credit card numbers via email or contact forms as these methods of communication may not be secure.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you interact with our online store or shopping cart, we may track products you’ve viewed in order to show you products you’ve recently viewed. We may also track your IP address and geo-location for purposes such as estimating taxes and shipping. We may also ask you to enter your shipping address so we can estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to: send you information about your account and order, respond to your requests (including refunds and complaints), process payments and prevent fraud, set up your account for our store, comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes, improve our store offerings, and/or send you marketing messages (if you choose to receive them).
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders. We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Credit card transactions are also processed using Stripe.com, a secure third party payment processing company. When using your credit card to purchase our products, you may be redirected to their secure third party gateway in the form of an iframe popup. The information you provide for payment will be stored on their secure servers. We do not store any payment information on our servers for your protection.

We communicate with our customers using a combination of email and live chat. This communication is facilitated through Crisp.chat. Chat histories are stored on their server. Other information, including your username and email address, are provided to Intercom when you sign up. This allows us to locate your account when we chat with you, which is necessary in order for us to provide sales, billing and technical support to our customers.

No Information Collected from Children.
We will never knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of 18. If we obtain actual knowledge that it has collected personal information about a child under the age of 18, that information will be immediately removed from any access. Because we do not collect such information, we have no such information to use or to disclose to third parties. We’ve designed this policy in order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).

How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment or submit information through any of our contact forms, your comment and associated information are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments.
If you make a purchase from our online store, we generally store information about your purchase for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we may store order information for seven (7) years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
For users that register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
