About the Nashville Metro

Don’t try to make sense of this Nashville subway map. It’s just for fun.

Nashville, Tennessee doesn't have a subway system, but if it did it might look like this. With a population just under 2MM, Nashville-Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin ranks as the 36th largest metro in the U.S. Widely known as “Music City,” Nashville is the undisputed home of Country Music, and also the capital of the great state of Tennessee.

Popular stops on this Nashville "subway" system include tourist destinations such as the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, Tennessee State Museum, Nashville Zoo and Adventure Science Center.

Flying into Nashville for a concert or event? The yellow line provides a direct rail connection from Nashville International Airport to Music City Center, Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena and the Tennessee State Capital. From there you can hop on the Red line to Nissan Stadium (home of the NFL Tennessee Titans), or continue on to the Grand Ole Opry (home of the famed, long-running radio show).

While you’re in downtown Nashville be sure to take in its rich country music history and diverse cultural offerings from the Johnny Cash Museum to the studios on Music Row. Transfer to the Blue line to meet up with friends for dinner or drinks in The Gulch and SoBro neighborhoods. Or hop on the Red line to enjoy the sites and sounds of Nashville’s many beautiful green spaces including Percy Warner Park and Edwin Warner Park, Cheekwood Estate and Gardens, Centennial Park, Fort Negley, Cumberland Park and Shelby Park.

This dreamy Nashville rail network also provides quick access to:
